Job summary

Cashman Equipment Co. seeks a field service technician to repair, recondition, and service Caterpillar and allied machines in the field. You will troubleshoot, prepare equipment for delivery, and communicate findings to clients and management.

Travel to remote sites and extended overnight stays are required, with safety as a priority. Responsibilities include planning repair costs, maintaining equipment, and mentoring technicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current driver’s license.
• Required DOT licensing, medical card, and endorsements as vehicle size dictates.
• Minimum of 6 months related experience.
• Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
• Completion of TRAIN test evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components.
• Prepare service reports.
• Plan and control cost of repair jobs.
• Travel to remote locations as needed.
• Work overtime as needed.
