Empire is seeking a skilled technician to troubleshoot and service Caterpillar and allied equipment in a shop setting. The role requires diagnosing electrical, hydraulic, and powertrain issues, and communicating findings clearly to clients and management.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and at least 6 months of related experience. MSHA training may be required depending on location, with overtime and travel as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Must have strong verbal and written communication to explain equipment conditions and repair recommendations.
• Basic computer and internet knowledge required, plus knowledge of scanning/diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of CAT machine components and systems; ability to understand diagnostic equipment.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components.
• Prepare service reports; plan and control cost of repair jobs.
• Maintain good client relations and support marketing objectives.
• Travel to remote locations as needed; work overtime as required.
