Job summary

Summit Midstream Corporation in Texas is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic-Journey to perform maintenance, repairs and overhauls on compression stations, cryogenic plants and related equipment to keep gathering systems running.

You will work with craft personnel, follow safety policies, and be available for callouts and on-call rotations. Minimum 3 years in energy or mechanical field; HS diploma required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in mechanical field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years stable work history in the energy industry and/or technical training in mechanical field.

Responsibilities

• Daily repairs and maintenance of compressor stations with reciprocating natural gas centrifugal and rotary screw compressors.
• Responsible for completing and maintaining required work orders.
• Monitor and adjust equipment to maintain optimum availability, efficiency, and throughput.
• Responsible for performing minor as well as major maintenance on engines, compressors, dehydrators, vapor recovery units, flares, separators, slug catchers, air compressors, and cooling fans.
• Work with craft personnel to ensure any equipment/system problems are resolved in a timely manner.
• Responsible for reporting, troubleshooting, and correcting abnormal operating conditions.
