Job summary

The Mechanic-Journey at Summit Midstream Corporation is responsible for maintenance, repairs and overhaul of gathering system compression and cryogenic plants to keep operations running safely and efficiently.

Daily duties include repairing compressor stations, completing work orders, and monitoring equipment performance; you will work with craft personnel to resolve issues and ensure safety and regulatory compliance; willingness to work callouts and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; Technical certification or equivalent training in mechanical environment or energy related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years stable work history in the energy industry and/or technical training in mechanical field.

Responsibilities

• Daily repairs and maintenance of compressor stations with reciprocating natural gas centrifugal and rotary screw compressors.
• Responsible for completing and maintaining required work orders.
• Monitor and adjust equipment to maintain optimum availability, efficiency, and throughput.
• Responsible for performing minor as well as major maintenance on engines, compressors, dehydrators, vapor recovery units, flares, separators, slug catchers, air compressors, and cooling fans.
• Work with craft personnel to ensure any equipment/system problems are resolved in a timely manner.
• Responsible for reporting, troubleshooting, and correcting abnormal operating conditions.
• Responsible for coordinating and monitoring activities of contract personnel assigned to the area.
