United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic (Field Service Tech II) to perform maintenance and repairs on complex equipment safely and professionally. This position offers an opportunity to improve technically and advance into higher service technician or leadership roles.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, superior customer service skills, and must own applicable tools. The role requires travel to customer job sites and teamwork with other technicians.

Formación

• 1-2 years of experience repairing/maintaining vehicles and equipment, or trade school graduate.
• Strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines.
• Must own tools applicable to position.

As a Field Diesel Mechanic (Field Service Tech II), you’ll use your skills to perform maintenance and repairs on complex equipment in a safe and professional manner. What you'll do:

• Safe maintenance and repair of a variety of complex rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner
• Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
• Assist with pick‑up and delivery of equipment & parts
• Other duties assigned as needed

Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• 1-2 years of experience repairing/maintaining vehicles and equipment; or trade school graduate
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
• Strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines
• Must own tools applicable to position
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Compensation Range: $24.70 - $35.60
