United Rentals is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III - Field Service) to maintain and repair complex rental equipment at customer sites in Maryland and surrounding areas. You will perform safe repairs across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems, and travel to job sites to service equipment as needed.

You must have a High School diploma, a valid driver's license, 3–5 years of hands-on repair experience, and own the necessary tools.

• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• 3–5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines.
• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

• Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
• Other duties assigned as needed
