United Rentals, Inc. is the world’s largest equipment rental provider. As a Field Diesel Mechanic, you’ll perform maintenance and repairs on complex rental equipment at customer sites, and travel as needed.

You will train lower level technicians, maintain thorough documentation, and contribute to safety and service excellence while pursuing advancement within the service department and leadership roles.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• 3–5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines.
• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner
• Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
• Other duties assigned as needed

As a Field Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III - Field Service), you’ll use your skills to perform maintenance and repairs on complex equipment in a safe and professional manner.

Note: This position is governed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement. Rate of pay and benefits will be determined by the agreement in place. This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.

Compensation Range:
