Job summary

Braun Intertec seeks a field technician to join our construction materials testing team in Lenexa, Kansas. This entry-level or experienced role offers in-depth technical training and industry certifications, with outdoor work on varied projects.

You will perform soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt testing, prepare daily reports, and collaborate with project managers to ensure specifications are followed. Candidates must lift 50-75+ pounds and adapt to varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Strong safety focus and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn and apply technical concepts.
• Flexibility to work extended or nontraditional hours.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Related work experience in materials testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform field density tests of soils
• Perform field concrete testing, including slump, air content, and strength
• Prepare daily reports
• Work with project managers and senior technicians to ensure specifications are followed
• Perform routine sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, and asphalt and assist with more complex tasks, as required
