Job summary

Ardaman & Associates, Inc. in Baton Rouge, LA seeks a Construction Materials Testing Technician to perform sampling, testing and field observation of soils, concrete and other materials on construction projects across Southeast Louisiana.

Role emphasizes field duties (80–90% of time), safety, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to weekends/overtime. NICET/ACI certifications plus Radiation Safety training a plus.

Qualifications

• Earthwork and concrete construction and CMT laboratory soil, aggregate and concrete testing preferred but not required.
• NICET Certification, ACI Certification and Radiation Safety training a plus.
• Able to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 50 lbs; valid driving record; willing to work weekends and overtime; and willing to travel for out-of-town assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling/testing and observation/inspection of soils, concrete, and other materials on construction projects.
• Field duties will comprise 80–90% of time.
• Commitment to safety and efficient workmanship; potential travel as needed.
