Job summary

Dormont Manufacturing Co is hiring an Entry-Level Civil Engineering Construction Technician to join their Construction Materials and Testing Team in Olathe, Kansas. As part of this role, you will ensure the quality and safety of construction projects by collecting material samples and conducting tests.

The position offers hands-on training, mentorship opportunities, and the use of company resources such as transportation and safety gear. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably civil, and an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to contribute successfully to team projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably civil.
• Passed the FE exam and have an EIT certificate.
• Valid driver's license and good driving history.
• Flexible schedule capability.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Collect construction materials samples from various sites.
• Perform tests and inspections of construction materials.
• Document findings and communicate results to project managers.
• Work in diverse terrains and weather conditions.
