Job summary

Turner Staffing Group in St. Louis, MO seeks an Entry Level Field Technician I for construction materials testing. The role offers on-site field work with exposure to soil and concrete testing, using drawings and specifications to guide activities and document findings.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of field experience, a valid driver’s license, and are willing to work off-shift with overtime. This position supports growth in A/E/C industry through hands-on materials analysis.

Qualifications

• 1 year of construction-related field experience.
• Valid driver's license and reliable driving record.
• Willingness to work off-shift and overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30-50 lbs frequently, and 50+ lbs occasionally with assistance.
• Ability to hear and process detailed information through oral communication.
• Ability to kneel and squat occasionally, and to walk/stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable working outdoors in adverse weather, including hot and cold temperatures.
• Ability to climb occasionally and work at various heights.

Responsibilities

• Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (soil, concrete, and other materials), providing assessment of data through reporting.
• Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams to guide fieldwork.
• Use established methods to make detailed observations of site activities and provide limited interpretation of results.
• Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results.
