Fenner Dunlop is searching for an enthusiastic Field Marketing Specialist to join our Corporate Marketing team in Pittsburgh, PA. Reporting to the Senior VP of Sales and Marketing, this role will be an essential part of strengthening our brand presence, driving engagement, and supporting sales efforts through strategic marketing initiatives in the field.
Fenner Dunlop, a Michelin Group company, designs and manufactures the widest range of bulk material handling conveyor belts in the world. We strive to be the premier provider of the safest and most reliable conveyor belting and services to a variety of heavy industrial markets such as coal mining, hard rock mining, sand, gravel, wood handling, power generation, pulp and paper.
What You'll Do
Field Marketing Plan Development
- Work with the Marketing Manager and the SVP of Sales and Marketing to formulate strategic marketing plans tailored to end users and channel partners, particularly focusing on the industrial market.
- Oversee the rollout of marketing strategies across various channels to ensure end-user share gain ensuring each plan aligns with Fenner Dunlop’s business objectives.
- Continuously refine and adjust plans based on performance metrics and feedback to maximize effectiveness and ROI.
- Assist in the allocation and management of marketing resources, including budget, time, and personnel, to support channel initiatives efficiently.
End User Marketing and Campaign Management
- Collaborate in the development of comprehensive marketing campaigns aimed at promoting Fenner Dunlop’s products to end users (either through direct contact or through distribution channels).
- Manage the rollout of marketing campaigns, coordinating efforts between Fenner Dunlop Account Managers and/or FDA distributors.
- Analyze the outcomes of marketing campaigns, providing detailed reports on their success and areas for improvement.
Distributor Marketing Support and Relationship Management
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new distributors, ensuring they understand Fenner Dunlop’s marketing expectations and have the resources they need.
- Maintain regular communication with distributors through meetings, calls, and visits to foster strong, ongoing relationships.
- Establish channels for distributors to provide feedback on marketing initiatives and use this feedback to enhance future efforts.
- Collaborate with distributors on co-branded marketing campaigns and promotions to drive mutual success.
Event Planning, Coordination, and Execution
- Lead the planning and organization of regional trade shows and other channel events (training, road shows, lunch and learns, etc.) from initial concept to execution, ensuring alignment with marketing objectives.
- Develop and execute promotional strategies to drive attendance and engagement at smaller regional Trade Shows and channel events.
Partnering for Performance
- Assist in the design and enhancement of the P4P program, focusing on integrating robust marketing components.
- Support the rollout of the P4P program to distributors, including training on program specifics and marketing strategies.
Content Creation and Management
- Develop compelling content that resonates with target audiences in the channel and end-user markets.
- Create diverse types of content, including written articles, videos, infographics, and social media posts, to support various marketing initiatives.
Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare detailed reports on marketing activities, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
Market Research and Analysis
- Conduct thorough research to stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics.
- Regularly monitor competitors’ activities, including their marketing strategies and product launches, to identify potential threats and opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure marketing strategies and campaigns are aligned with sales goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as product development and customer service, to integrate marketing efforts with overall company operations.
Additional Responsibilities
- Travel to customer/distributor sites as required including overnight travel up to 50% nationally and internationally.
- Maintains flexibility with working hours/schedule as necessary to meet the needs of the position.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, or related field, with 2-5 years of experience in the belting industry or a related industrial/engineered products sector.
- Proven ability to develop and execute field marketing strategies, support sales teams, and drive customer acquisition through trade shows, events, and B2B marketing.
