Field Marketing Manager - Crop Protection (Finance)

This position is remote (virtual) and can work from home but must be located within the territory of Minnesota or South Dakota.

The CPP Field Marketing Manager is responsible for crop protection pricing and marketing execution within the assigned Sales Business Unit (BU), supporting the MN / SD Business Unit. Additionally, the role involves developing and connecting key market insights to local strategies. The position reports to the CPP & Seed Field Marketing Director Team Leader, with a dotted-line report to the MN / SD Sales BU Leader.

The Field Marketing Team partners with Strategic Marketing and Sales to align resources with opportunities and advocates for the team across functions including procurement, finance, IT, agronomy, and product development. It serves as the voice of the field, providing insights and communicating key programs to the BU. The leader focuses on driving local strategy and executing against Wildly Important Goals (WIGs), managing marketing funds, and enabling efficient decision-making.

The role works closely with a regional Seed Field Marketing Manager as part of a 12-person team consisting of 6 CPP Field Marketing Leaders and 6 Seed Field Marketers.

Key Responsibilities

1. 30% Regional Pricing Strategy & Execution

• Lead growth initiatives and market correction sales support (PROS)
• Develop strategic thought leadership on pricing decoupling for CPP products and services
• Manage migration and pricing for SA & LCC, JV pricing, and cost management
• Position dividends within WFU's total offer and develop future bundle pricing strategies
• Collaborate with P&L marketing teams and Procurement on national pricing decisions
• Assess portfolio value and gain insights into market positioning regularly
• Work with BU sales leads and Account Managers to identify margin opportunities through product focus and profitability analysis

20% Regional Execution Strategy & Key Account Connection

• Support business planning for BU CPP plans and key accounts
• Engage directly with key owners and collaborate with supplier partners
• Provide strategic leadership for Advanced Acre positioning at key accounts
• Identify opportunities through product focus and profitability analysis

10% Market Intelligence & Communication

• Utilize analytics for regional insights, competitive intelligence, and micro market analysis
• Lead weekly calls to coordinate activities across BU sales, Seed, Services, and CPP
• Provide feedback to Strategic Marketing and facilitate two-way market intelligence

5% Coaching & Development

• Support coaching and development of BU Sales teams and Marketing teams (e.g., Pricing & Data)

Minimum Qualifications

• BS/BA in business or agricultural field
• 10+ years of sales and/or marketing experience
• Experience with CPP business within the assigned BU
• Strong communication skills, leadership, and change management experience
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams
• Decision-making, multitasking, project management, and productivity skills
• Ability to travel up to 30%

The salary range for this role is $120,880 - $181,320, with candidates typically hired near the middle of this range.
