Job summary

Universal Technical Institute is seeking a Manager Field Marketing to drive brand awareness and student recruitment through local community events, high school presentations, and partner activations. You will manage demonstrations, build partnerships with employers and educational providers, and optimize event ROI through data-driven strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or event management (preferred).
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in marketing or event management with onsite and offsite events (required).
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in a cross-functional environment (preferred).
  • Experience developing and negotiating sponsorships (preferred).
  • Experience in event planning with lead generation (preferred).
  • Knowledge of basic marketing and advertising disciplines (required).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, coordinate and serve as representative for recruitment events and campus open houses.
  • Drive enrollment growth by engaging prospective students through events and generating high-value leads.
  • Optimize event ROI with local strategies and demonstrations at high school events, employer showcases, and campus experiences.
  • Build partnerships with industry partners, employers, and high schools to increase brand presence and referrals.
  • Track and analyze event performance to measure impact on inquiries and enrollments.
  • Collaborate with regional leaders to adjust strategies based on data insights.
  • Develop new event formats and promotional tactics to improve student engagement.
  • Deliver engaging presentations and live demonstrations at high schools and community events.
  • Establish strong relationships with industry partners and employers.

Job description

The Manager Field Marketing is responsible for driving brand awareness and student recruitment through highly impactful and engaging community-focused event demonstrations around the local community including but not limited to, local high school presentations, campus events, industry-related events with employers, and community activations, such as car shows and festivals. This role is also responsible for building and maintaining strategic partnerships with local employers, educational providers, and industry leaders, further helping to enhance the school's presence and influence within the community.

Pay Range: $75,000 - $85,000

Location: Remote - Austin, TX

Responsibilities
  • Schedule, coordinate and serve as representative for recruitment events, including career fairs, community festivals, dealership receptions, and campus open houses to include transporting company truck and trailer to events and setting up demonstrations
  • Drive enrollment growth by identifying and engaging prospective students through events that deliver high-value leads, driving strong inquiry-to-start conversion rates
  • Optimize event ROI by developing and executing local event strategies that generate the highest return on investment, including high school STEM demonstrations, employer-sponsored showcases, and campus-hosted experiences
  • Build and leverage strategic partnerships by establishing strong relationships with industry partners, local employers, and high school staff to increase brand presence and student referrals
  • Enhance event performance metrics through tracking and analyzing event success, measuring the impact on student inquiries, enrollments, and starts
  • Collaborate with regional leaders to optimize strategies based on data insights
  • Innovate and expand recruitment strategies by developing and testing new event formats and promotional tactics to continually improve student engagement and interest
  • Deliver engaging presentations to include live demonstrations at high schools, community events and employer partner activations
  • Establish strong relationships with industry partners, local employers, and high schools to increase brand presence and student referrals
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education / Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or event management (preferred)
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in marketing or event management with a particular experience in onsite and offsite events (required)
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience working in a cross-functional organizational environment (preferred)
  • Minimum one (1) year experience with developing and negotiating sponsorship agreements (preferred)
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in event planning and execution background including lead generation (preferred)
  • Knowledge of basic marketing & advertising disciplines (required)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
Licenses / Certifications
  • Possess a valid state-issued driver's license; license class may vary based on state-specific requirements (required)
  • Meet DOT requirements and pass a driving test (required)

  • Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment when on site at assigned company location. Employees must be able to safely ambulate when on company premises.
  • Events may occur outdoors, creating exposure to variable weather conditions.
  • This position is designated as Hybrid (combination of on campus and remote); Employees must meet minimum technical standards for eligibility and participation. Work environments may include exposure to student learning environments with a variety of conditions. Employees must be able to follow all safety precautions including the use of personal-protective equipment. Employees must also be able to adhere to site-specific safety procedures.
  • Overnight and/or Local travel required (up to 80%)
