We are a global, AI-native startup helping people explore their cities, discover worthwhile experiences, and build stronger connections with friends.
Our first product starts with lifestyle curation and city discovery, with the ambition to become an everyday AI companion. Our team brings together talent from leading AI application teams, foundation-model teams, and global technology companies. We are backed by established investors, with tens of millions of dollars raised.
We already have team members permanently based in New York. You will collaborate closely with the local team and report to a US-based team member.
About the Role
We are looking for a Field Marketing & Community Coordinator who knows New York and enjoys building meaningful local relationships. Through community outreach, partnerships, and real-world experiences, you will help grow brand awareness, user engagement, and product adoption across the city.
You will build and operate our local network of campus leads, campus and brand ambassadors, local hosts, community organizers, creators, venue partners, and cultural and lifestyle partners. You will turn these relationships into community programs, events, and brand collaborations.
This is a highly hands‑on role. You should be comfortable building a program from scratch, managing multiple partner relationships, coordinating events, and spending time within NYC’s diverse communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage our NYC community ecosystem, including campus ambassadors, local hosts, and community partners.
- Proactively identify, approach, and develop local partners, turning relationships into events, joint promotions, sponsorships, and community programs.
- Recruit, onboard, brief, motivate, and manage ambassadors and hosts. Establish clear goals, communication routines, operating procedures, and playbooks that support scale.
- Own event delivery from concept through follow‑up, coordinating outreach, schedules, vendors, guest lists, ambassadors, logistics, materials, and on‑site execution.
- Identify influential organizers and partnerships that can reach entire communities, and build repeatable ways to engage them.
- Stay close to emerging NYC communities, events, creators, venues, and relevant cultural and social opportunities.
- Work with brand, growth, product, and content teams to support broader campaigns, generate shareable content, and drive measurable user acquisition and product usage.
- Track program results, ambassador activity, budgets, and partner performance. Gather user feedback and document what works.
- Maintain strong standards for partner selection, events, content, and user experiences, ensuring alignment with the product and brand.
Who You Are
- Highly organized: You can manage multiple people, projects, deadlines, and details.
- A relationship builder: You enjoy meeting people, identifying influential community members, earning trust, and bringing partners together.
- A strong executor: You can move comfortably between partnership outreach, spreadsheets, event planning, and on‑site delivery.
- Culturally engaged: You understand NYC’s communities, social habits, and lifestyle, and can recognize opportunities that feel relevant and appealing.
- Thoughtful about quality: You have sound judgment about the people, venues, activities, and experiences that fit a brand.
- Proactive and resourceful: You can build from zero and move projects forward without needing detailed instructions.
- Results‑oriented: You care about participation, product usage, and partnership outcomes, and use data to improve your work.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in field marketing, community, partnerships, experiential marketing, events, ambassador programs, creator marketing, hospitality, or a related field.
- Currently based in the New York metropolitan area, with professional experience working in NYC and a strong understanding of its neighborhoods, community networks, culture, and social scene.
- Availability for regular in‑person outreach and activities across NYC.
- Fluent written and spoken English, with the ability to independently lead partnership discussions, coordinate events, and communicate across teams.
- Experience managing communities, ambassador networks, events, partnerships, or projects involving multiple stakeholders, with examples of successful delivery.
- Experience with creator or influencer partnerships, referral programs, or ambassador incentives.
- Strong project management skills, including managing multiple partners, timelines, budgets, and execution details.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; relevant studies in marketing, communications, business, hospitality, or event management are a plus.
- Willingness to undertake substantial in‑person work, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Initiative, adaptability, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑moving startup. Candidates of all nationalities are welcome.
Nice to Have
- Experience launching or managing campus ambassador, host, membership, or community programs from scratch.
- An existing NYC network across universities, creators, venues, nightlife, hospitality, music, fashion, food, fitness, wellness, or cultural communities.
- Experience leading a student organization, recurring event series, creative collective, or other community.
- A strong instinct for social content and the moments worth capturing and sharing.
- A genuine enthusiasm for exploring the city—you are often the person friends ask for weekend ideas.
Why This Role Matters
- We want our product to become part of the communities, places, and everyday moments where people decide where to go and what to experience.
- Through local relationships, community programs, and in‑person activations, you will help make the product part of life in New York. You will also help develop a local growth model that can be adapted to other major cities.
