Job summary

Wheeler Machinery Co. in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Lube Technician/Field Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance on CAT and non-CAT equipment in the field.

You will ensure safety, maintain cleanliness, and follow set procedures to meet on-time service. You will work swing shifts with possible overtime or weekends; bring your own tools and use mobile devices to communicate with customers and dealers while performing inspections and ordering parts

Qualifications

• 1 year+ experience as a Lube Technician on CAT or Non-CAT heavy equipment.
• Committed to safety and Wheeler safety programs.
• Integrity, good work ethic and positive attitude.
• Self-starter who can work with customers and co-workers as a team.
• Provide your own tools to perform services.
• Must have or be willing to obtain MSHA certification.
• Must have a clean MVR.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance on heavy construction equipment.
• Good computer and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM services on CAT and non-CAT equipment in the field.
• Replace fluids, filters, grease and related items.
• Swing shift schedule; overtime or weekends as needed.
• Drive safely and obey traffic laws.
• Use computer, smartphone and other technology for communication.
• Perform electronic inspections on PM services.
• Order parts as required.
