Job summary

Wheeler Machinery Co. in Utah is seeking an Advanced Field Service Technician to provide expert on-site support, maintenance, and repair for CAT and Non-CAT heavy equipment.

You will diagnose issues, perform installations and repairs, and work directly with customers to ensure equipment runs at peak performance. Travel to client sites is required and you’ll mentor junior technicians as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of field service experience on CAT or Non-CAT heavy equipment.
• Proficiency with Caterpillar service programs.
• Class A CDL License strongly preferred.
• MSHA certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe on-site work environment.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues in mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of sophisticated equipment to industry standards.
• Serve as primary technical point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and clear communication.
• Utilize deep technical knowledge to optimize system performance.
• Maintain detailed service records and generate reports for management and engineering teams.
• Train and mentor junior technicians and clients on equipment operation and troubleshooting.
