Job summary

SLAMcore in Manning, SC is seeking a Field Machinist - Nuclear to perform field machining (cutting, boring, milling, facing) and EDM support, set up portable equipment, and execute precision measurements and alignments.

You will read blueprints, tolerances and schematics, apply strong mechanical aptitude, and travel to support energy projects in the field.

Hourly pay is competitive and you will join a safety‑focused team working on mission‑critical operations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on machining experience (manual or portable) required.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and tolerances.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel and work in a demanding, hands-on environment.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Pass a stringent background and drug screen.
