Job summary

Warren CAT is seeking a Machine Field Technician II to deliver high-quality repair service on heavy equipment, ensuring timely, safe, and reliable performance for customers.

In this role you will complete jobs within flat-rate times, document work and parts, diagnose issues, and mentor other team members while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality. You may travel up to 40%, and CDL readiness is required within 90 days. CDL and clean driving record are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 3–5 years related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret simple instructions and memos.
• Ability to present information in one-to-one and small group settings.
• Clean driving record and CDL readiness within 90 days; must be 21+.
• In-depth knowledge of basic hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Must be certified in air-conditioning; flexible with shifts and overtime.
• Ability to obtain or possess necessary tooling and pass Work Steps assessment.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned jobs within flat rate times and re-do metrics.
• Document work orders, parts orders, and related paperwork accurately.
• Disassemble/assemble components, test and adjust assemblies.
• Provide accurate info to management for quoting.
• Diagnose problems, suggest repairs, and perform critical machine repairs.
• Test and verify operation after repairs or adjustments.
• Apply failure analysis to diagnose correctly.
• Mentor Machine team members.
