Job summary

Warren CAT in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Machine Technician II to deliver high-quality repair services on equipment, ensuring timely, safe, and value-driven work. You will complete tasks within standard times, use diagnostics, and participate in ongoing training.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED (or 3–5 years related experience), strong tool/equipment knowledge, and ability to work varied shifts and obtain necessary certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 3–5 years related experience or training.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, laptops, diagnostic software and cranes and rigging equipment.
• Ability to provide accurate information to management for quoting.
• Able to mentor Machine team members.
• Must be able to obtain or currently possess adequate tooling to perform duties.
• Must be at least 21 to operate field vehicle.
• Will be certified prior to operating forklift and/or man lift.
• May require DOT physical and MSHA certification.
• Must be certified in air-conditioning.
• Flexibility to work various schedules including shift work, overtime and on call.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned jobs and tasks to meet flat rate times and re-do metric.
• Work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Complete related paperwork and access required databases (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW) accurately and timely.
• Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules.
• Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, provide repair recommendations and perform critical repairs.
• Test and verify correct operation of repairs and adjustments.
• Apply general failure analysis and procedures to determine proper diagnosis.
• Adhere to all company policies.
• Complete Level I & Level II training promptly.
