Job summary

Carvana is seeking a management level Transportation Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day transportation needs at the assigned Logistics Field Operation location. This role may supervise warehouse and inventory teams as needed and is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT compliance/regulations.
• 2+ years of people leadership experience.
• 3+ years of logistics or supply chain experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in related fields preferred.
• Experience leading or developing people, including managing CDL drivers.
• Transportation experience, including vehicle transporter/tractor trailer, or related military experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day transportation operations needs at assigned locations in coordination with other site leaders.
• Develop site specific goals and objectives and ensure alignment and execution within the site.
• Review and evaluate daily route schedules and coordinate with Logistics Operations Planning to address issues.
• Mentor and hold direct reports accountable through coaching, leadership development and performance management.
• Ensure safety standards and GEMBA walks are followed across work areas.
• Maintain timely and effective communication with internal teams.
• Coordinate movement of inventory through warehouse workflow and assign shifts to meet business needs.
