Job summary

Optimized Process Designs (OPD), a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks a Construction Logistics Supervisor to lead warehouse operations and provide logistics expertise across construction projects. This onsite role at our Katy, TX headquarters will supervise the warehouse team and guide field teams on material management, site logistics, and equipment coordination.

You will establish consistent logistics practices, address challenges proactively, and ensure materials and resources support

Qualifications

• Experience in construction logistics, material management, warehousing, or related field.
• Experience supervising or leading employees.
• Experience coordinating receiving, storage, tracking, movement, and distribution of materials and equipment.
• Ability to travel up to 25% based on project needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standardized construction logistics policies, procedures, tools, and performance expectations for field projects.
• Communicate logistics requirements to project leadership and field Logistics Managers before mobilization and throughout project execution.
• Provide direction, training, coaching, and technical support to field Logistics Managers and logistics personnel.
• Review project logistics plans to confirm alignment with schedule, site layout, material flow, equipment needs, staffing, and client requirements.
• Monitor implementation through routine reviews, field visits, audits, and performance reporting; document gaps and track corrective actions.
• Establish consistent methods for material receiving, identification, storage, preservation, tracking, issuance, transfer, and reconciliation.
• Coordinate with Construction, Project Management, Procurement, Fabrication, Safety, Quality, and others to resolve logistics risks.
• Review look-ahead schedules and site constraints to identify issues before they affect work.
• Develop and monitor logistics performance measures and communicate risks and improvement opportunities to leadership.
• Promote sharing of lessons learned and best practices between projects.
• Support the selection and onboarding of field Logistics Managers and ensure teams are staffed and qualified.
