Job summary

CHARLES COUNTY GOVERNMENT is hiring for a Litter Control/Recycling Site Attendant role. The job involves removing litter, guiding customers, and operating waste disposal equipment at the landfill and recycling centers.

You will perform routine cleanup, grounds maintenance, and assist with bulk and electronics disposal. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, two years of general labor experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of general labor experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Remove litter and debris from county roadways and properties with focus on safety and customer service.
• Direct patrons to proper disposal areas and ensure loads are inspected for compliance.
• Operate light to medium vehicles and waste disposal equipment, including routine vehicle inspections.
• Record patronage, inspections, and concerns in daily logs.
• Assist in handling hazardous materials and bulk dump site activities.
• Perform routine cleanup and grounds maintenance at facilities and properties.
