You will supervise staff, coordinate readiness, document activity, and communicate with contractors and clients. This role requires readiness to work day or night shifts, travel regionally, and uphold a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Must have Virginia driver’s license and 2+ years field traffic control experience.
• Ability to lead small field teams with professionalism and urgency.
• Willingness to work day or night shifts and travel between jobs within the region.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform strenuous outdoor tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise traffic control crews setting up, monitoring, and removing work zones.
• Ensure operations meet VWAPM standards and project specs.
• Operate non-CDL flatbeds or cone trucks as needed.
• Coordinate with contractors, clients, and leadership on daily site operations.
• Document jobsite activity, crew attendance, and safety concerns.
• Keep vehicles and equipment clean and organized.
• Respond to emergencies and adjust traffic control setups in real time.
• Coach crew members on best practices and job expectations.
• Foster a safe, proactive work environment.
• Represent the company professionally in the field.
