Spivey Services is seeking a Traffic Control Supervisor II to lead field crews, coordinate complex work zones, and ensure VWAPM compliance across varied projects in Virginia. You will provide advanced decision-making, crew oversight, and direct communication with contractors and inspectors.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in traffic control with 2+ years in supervision, and strong knowledge of traffic plans and safety protocols.

Qualificações

• Virginia Driver’s License required.
• Night shifts availability required.
• 3–5 years of traffic control or construction field experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong VWAPM traffic control knowledge.
• Experience managing crews and complex work zone setups.
• Ability to read, interpret, and implement traffic control plans independently.
• Experience driving larger trucks (18’–24’), non‑CDL.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding outdoor work.
• Willingness to travel across regional job sites.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Availability for nights, weekends, and emergency deployments.
• Experience with stationary and mobile lane closures on limited access highways.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee traffic control crews and ensure work zones meet VWAPM and project specs.
• Conduct daily field audits, verify compliance, and take corrective actions.
• Perform stationary and mobile lane closures safely on highways.
• Serve as on-site point of contact for contractors, inspectors, and leadership.
• Review and interpret complex traffic control plans and ensure proper execution.
• Coordinate daily job readiness, staffing, and equipment deployment.
• Adjust work zone setups in real time for emergencies or safety concerns.
• Provide hands-on training to new employees and junior supervisors.
• Model a safety-first culture across crews and sites.
• Maintain logs for activities, attendance, safety observations, and incidents.
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are properly maintained and stocked.
• Communicate daily updates to Traffic Operations Manager.
