Job summary

Network Connex in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Field Lead Technician (L3) to direct installation teams in live, mission-critical data centers. You will oversee safety, QA/QC, and field execution, serving as a subject matter expert in fiber optic installation, testing, and complex troubleshooting.

The role requires 5+ years in data center or field service, strong leadership, and certifications in fiber optics.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; technical training or associate's degree preferred.
5+ years of field service, data center, or installation experience.
Documented fiber optic testing experience with OTDR/OLTS.
Fiber splicing certification preferred.
Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

Lead field teams performing installation services per contracts, ensuring safety and QA standards.
Define scope, work plans, and field execution with minimal direction.
Lead toolbox talks and on-site safety discussions.
Attend project and customer meetings as required.
Coordinate with engineers and vendors to meet milestones and quality standards.
Travel to regional data centers as needed and respond to service requests.
