Job summary

Network Connex Company seeks an experienced Field Lead Technician (L3) to direct installation services in live data-center environments. You will oversee fiber optic installation, testing, and complex troubleshooting while mentoring L1/L2 technicians and ensuring adherence to QA/QC standards.

Travel to regional data centers may be required, including weekends or off-hours. Strong leadership, communication, and safety focus are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years in data center/structured cabling or field service.
• Fiber optic testing experience at scale including OTDR/OLTS.
• Fiber optic testing certification (OTDR/OLTS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead field teams delivering installation services per contracts.
• Define scope, work plans, and field execution with minimal management direction.
• Lead toolbox talks and on-site safety discussions.
• Coordinate with engineers, vendors, and internal teams to meet milestones and quality standards.
• Travel to regional data center sites as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and service reports.
