Job summary

Beitzel Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Solar Foreman to lead field teams in the installation of utility-scale, ground-mount solar systems (1–25 MWDC). This is a working foreman role, so you’ll be in the field with your crew, not just supervising.

You’ll oversee diverse industrial and mechanical construction projects, with strong mechanical knowledge and a proactive mindset. Basic electrical knowledge in industrial settings is a plus for this role.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of mechanical solar installation experience.
• 4+ years of supervisory experience in industrial construction preferred.
• Experience running large crews (20+) and tracking daily production.
• Experience installing Fixed Tilt Systems from APA, NexTracker, TerraSmart, Solar FlexRack, Schletter.
• Experience installing Single Axis Tracker Systems from ATI, NexTracker, TerraSmart, FTC, Solar FlexRack, GameChange.

Responsibilities

• Measuring, cutting, assembling, hoisting, anchoring, and placing solar modules and racking.
• Install racking foundation piles within tight manufacturer tolerances.
• Install photovoltaic solar racking and modules per codes and drawings.
• Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control.
• Run conduit and cables from solar panels to combiner boxes.
• Operate machinery such as forklifts, man-lifts, excavators, dozers, and pile drivers.
