Job summary

TrinityRail in Bluffton, IA is seeking a Lead Technician, Mobile Repair to supervise railcar inspections and lead repair work at the mobile repair site. The role requires travel, welding experience, and DOT compliance to operate TrinityRail Mobile Repair Trucks.

You will coordinate safety checks, ensure accurate work orders, and lead hourly workers while delivering excellent customer service at customer sites.

Qualifications

• Welding experience preferred.
• Must possess a current valid driver’s license.
• DOT requirements to operate CMVs less than 26k GVWR.
• Ability to use hand tools and read safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct railcar inspections per current procedures.
• Perform repairs while following established repair procedures.
• Ensure invoicing, inspection, and work orders are complete and accurate.
• Lead safety assessments and participate in safety initiatives.
• Coordinate with customers to deliver an exceptional experience.
• Travel to remote locations as needed and supervise hourly staff.
