Stuart & Company General Contractors in Louisiana is seeking a Commercial Project Manager to lead field projects from startup through closeout. You will coordinate employees, subcontractors, materials, and equipment to meet specs, schedule, and budget.

This hands-on leadership role rewards ownership and expects strong contract knowledge, budgeting, and client relations while traveling to job sites in the Baton Rouge area.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing commercial construction projects from startup through closeout.
• Strong knowledge of contract documents, submittals, and construction scheduling.
• Comfortable managing budgets, monthly billings, and change orders.
• Strong leadership and communication skills across owners, subcontractors, and field teams.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Safety: champion safety first at every meeting and site, conduct orientations, enforce standards.
• Quality & Project Oversight: review submittals, manage startup, obtain permits, and maintain logs.
• Schedule: build and track schedule, coordinate procurement and long-lead items.
• Relationships: lead owner-architect-contractor meetings, manage client expectations, build partnerships.
• Budget & Change: monitor costs, billings, and change orders; oversee cost control.
