Job summary

IMCO Construction in Boise, Idaho, seeks a Junior Field Layout Technician to perform site layout and staking to ensure accurate placement of foundations, roads, utilities and structures per project drawings and specifications.

You will read blueprints, operate total stations, GPS and levels, establish reference points, maintain field notes, and collaborate with project engineers and superintendents to resolve layout issues. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Interpret construction drawings, plans and specs for layout.
• Perform layout using total stations, GPS and levels.
• Maintain accurate field notes and records.
• Travel to project sites as required.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions.

Responsibilities

• Interpret construction drawings and schemes for layout purposes.
• Perform layout and staking using surveying instruments.
• Establish reference points, lines, grades and elevations for foundations and site elements.
• Maintain detailed layout records and field notes.
• Collaborate with engineers, superintendents and crews to resolve layout issues.
