Job summary

Qualifications

• Three or more years of field layout experience on construction projects.
• Graduation from trade school with a certificate in surveying or equivalent.
• Familiarity with layout control, elevations, and monument baselines.

Responsibilities

• Plans, sets up, and maintains layout control for project(s) and verifies tolerances.
• Establishes building corners and reference points for back checks.
• Verifies elevations on drawings and checks alignment of structures.
• Lays out center lines, walls, and checks encroachments on exterior skin.
• Maintains benchmarks, control lines, and ensures proper use of elevations.
• Performs as-built surveys and assists with shop drawings coordination.
• Maintains calibration of engineering equipment and project records.
