Job summary

Donley’s is seeking an experienced Concrete Formwork Field Layout Engineer to support projects in the Richmond, VA area. The ideal candidate has 2–4+ years as a Field Engineer and a background in surveying or civil engineering.

Responsibilities include surveying, layout with total stations and GPS, and producing weekly as-built reports, ensuring alignment with structural plans and schedule requirements.

Qualifications

• 2+ semesters of college courses in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 1+ semesters of co-op or internship experience in commercial construction preferred.
• 2-4+ years of experience as a Field Engineer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in total station and GPS layout.
• Preparation of weekly as-built reports.
• Verification of concrete placement against structural plans.
• Survey control maintenance.
• Responsible for the installation of onsite layout.
• Proficient with surveying equipment to provide accurate layout.
• Timely deliverance of layout information.
• Perform required as-builts for in-place concrete.
