Job summary

Premier Underground Construction is seeking a Field Operations worker at the Avondale, AZ location to support progress and status on active projects. Responsibilities include using hand tools, operating water trucks for dust control, procuring materials, and coordinating with equipment operators per site plans.

The role requires 2 years of experience with dry utilities, a dust control certification, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience and knowledge of adequate material for dry utilities.
• Dust control certification.
• Able to recognize the material required.
• General: walk, stand, sit, use hands to finger, handle power tools (sharpshooter, jumping jack), reach with hands and arms, climb in/out of equipment and shovel.
• Good communication skills.
• Lifting: up to 50 pounds.
• Exposure to outdoors elements.
• Handling of dangerous equipment: power tools.
• Experience with contract documents (drawings, subcontracts, change orders).

Responsibilities

• Regular use of hand tools.
• Drive water wagon trailer & water truck to provide dust control during excavations.
• Procure material for Pipe Layer to maintain production flow.
• Use upright tamper to compact and level spoils during backfill.
• Establish eye contact with drivers and stay in view of the driver.
• Direct vehicles to proper areas per site plan.
• Communicate with equipment operators about pedestrian traffic and obstacles.
• Utilize PPE and work-related items.
• May perform general labor and site cleanup as needed.
