Job summary

Fisher Industries is seeking a General Laborer to support safety-focused construction work on projects near Lordsburg and Deming, NM. You will assist with material handling, site prep, and operate a range of tools under supervision.

This entry-level role requires physical stamina, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel out of town. Pre-employment drug testing and background checks are required; MSHA certification or willingness to obtain is provided by Fisher.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Acceptable MVR per company policy.
• MSHA Part 46 or 48 certification or willingness to obtain.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Ability to work in heat above 100 degrees, cold, rain and snow.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs.
• Extended out-of-town travel required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all phases of construction including loading, driving, delivery, digging and material placement.
• Work as part of a safety-focused crew to clear and prepare sites.
• Assist in all manual labor aspects as directed by supervisor.
• Operate construction equipment as needed.
• Handle physically demanding duties and assist team members.
