Job summary

Nelbud is seeking a Service Technician to maintain and repair commercial kitchen ventilation and control systems in the NYC Metro area. This hands-on role focuses on electrical troubleshooting, controls, and field service, with a company vehicle provided for site travel.

You’ll start at the Moonachie shop and visit customer sites to diagnose, repair rooftop units, and ensure high-quality service. Strong electrical skills and PLC/BACnet familiarity are preferred; willingness to travel and work

Qualifications

Strong electrical background with troubleshooting motors and controls in commercial settings.
Experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, or integrated control systems.
Familiarity with BACnet or similar ventilation/control systems preferred.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose complex issues.
Ability to work independently in the field.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repairs on commercial kitchen exhaust and ventilation systems.
Troubleshoot electrical components, motors, and control systems.
Diagnose and repair rooftop ventilation units.
Work with integrated control systems and make necessary adjustments.
Deliver high-quality service while representing Nelbud on job sites.
