Job summary

Agile Defense is seeking a Senior Hardware/Software Installation Technician (Survey Team Lead) to perform field site surveys for a US Military IT modernization program. You will lead technical surveys, document requirements, and oversee installation of hardware and software in CONUS/OCONUS environments.

The role requires 10+ years in hardware/software integration, DoD survey experience, and proficiency with Visio/AutoCAD for diagrams and power calculations. Travel 90% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/Engineering and 10+ years in hardware/software integration and cabling.
• DoD or Federal Government site survey experience.
• MS Visio for network diagrams and rack elevations.

Responsibilities

• Lead physical site surveys at military installations to validate power, space, cooling, and connectivity for new deployments.
• Develop Site Survey Reports (SSRs) and Installation Design Plans (IDPs) with floor plans and BOMs.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot IT hardware (routers, switches, crypto devices, UPS).
• Load and configure Windows/Linux and apply baselines per DoD cybersecurity standards.
• Generate installation documentation and coordinate with PMO and government POCs.
