Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking a BPI Field Investigator at the Investigator IV level in Houston to conduct highly complex investigations into fraud, waste, and abuse across Medicaid, CHIP, SNAP, TANF, and WIC programs. You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, obtain evidence, and testify at hearings or court.

• 35% Researches, collects evidence, reviews records and interviews to determine fraud and program compliance.
• 30% Documents investigative findings and prepares complex reports for hearings.
• 20% Calculates overpayments and coordinates restitution and disqualifications.
• 10% Maintains organized documentation and coordinates field activities and inquiries.
• 5% Recommends process improvements and helps develop training materials.
