Job summary

Applied Intuition is seeking a Field Integration Engineer to connect software engineering with hands-on field deployments. You will drive full-stack integration of our software across customer hardware, vehicles, and test benches, primarily in the Chicago area and surrounding regions.

The role requires strong embedded C/C++, Linux, and network knowledge, plus 2+ years of hands-on experience with target platforms. Will travel 30–50% to customer sites and testing facilities.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• Proficient in embedded C/C++, Linux, shell/CLI environments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and integrate vehicle software stack on target hardware and simulators.
• Serve as on-site technical escalation point, collect logs and diagnose issues across software/ hardware.
• Debug CAN, Ethernet, J1939, and other vehicle networks; verify data flow end-to-end.
• Collaborate with internal teams to reproduce field issues and validate fixes.
• Write Python and Bash scripts to automate deployment, diagnostics, and logging.
• Interact with customer engineering leadership to define use-cases and milestones.
