Job summary

Blue Ridge Communications is seeking an Integration Engineer in the Construction Engineering department. The role focuses on establishing cable routing in the field for new or rebuilt cable systems and managing pole permits and related field data gathering.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years in cable design and construction design, PA residency, valid PA driver's license, CAD and MS Office skills, and the ability to read blueprints or maps.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years' experience in cable design and construction design.
• Established residency in Pennsylvania.
• Valid PA Driver's license and good driving record.
• Working knowledge of CAD.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
• Ability to read blueprints and/or map drawings.

Responsibilities

• Establishing cable routing in the field for new or rebuilt cable systems.
• Responsible for new line extension inquiries.
• Responsible for PenTeleData inquiries.
• Responsible for utility pole audits.
• Gathering all field information and measurements needed for construction and system design.
• Contacting customers with information pertaining to their extension.
• Applying for pole permits.
• Obtaining and notarizing private rights of way, public permits and any additional required permits as needed.
• Working with utility companies and state projects for pole relocation, make ready work and other duties associated with pole line work.
• Working closely with system designers regarding fieldwork on a daily basis.
• Performing other related duties and tasks as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
