Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is hiring a Field Insulator to install pipe insulation and protective jacketing on active construction sites. The role requires reading technical drawings, following specs, and maintaining energy efficiency across our systems nationwide.

Responsibilities include fabricating insulation kits, handling vapor barriers, and using hand and power tools. Travel is essential, with long shifts and exposure to extreme temperatures in various sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial pipe insulation.
• Must read insulation schematics and technical drawings.
• Willingness to travel extensively (10-day tours with long shifts).
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs (75 lbs occasionally).

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and install pipe insulation for various piping sizes and systems.
• Apply vapor barriers, vapor dams, and secure jacketing (aluminum or PVC).
• Operate tools like bending brakes and band saws safely.
• Fabricate insulation kits for valves, fittings, and rotating equipment.
• Follow installation drawings, specifications, and site safety requirements.
