Job summary

Powerserve Technologies, Inc. is seeking a motivated Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Technician to support installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems across industrial and utility projects in Florida.

This role suits entry to mid-level technicians who are hands-on, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within the I&C field. You will work under Lead Technicians and Supervisors, contributing to field execution, calibration, commissioning, and startup

Qualifications

1–5+ years in instrumentation and controls, electrical, or related field.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Experience troubleshooting control systems and field devices.
Familiarity with PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) is a plus.
Willingness to travel statewide in Florida and work in outdoor/industrial environments.

Responsibilities

Install, terminate, and test instrumentation and control wiring, panels, and devices.
Assist with calibration and commissioning of instruments (flow, level, pressure, temperature, etc.).
Read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and schematics.
Troubleshoot control systems, including PLC-based systems and associated components.
Support startup and commissioning activities at project sites.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on I&C equipment.
Document work accurately, including redlines and field reports.
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
