Job summary

Thomas & Hutton is seeking a field survey crew member to support a range of land surveying tasks on outdoor job sites. You will work with a small team to perform boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys while operating Carlson SurvCE, robotic total stations, and Trimble GPS equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma, strong math and communication skills, and a willingness to work overtime when needed. A valid driver's license is necessary for driving between sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong math skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Experience with Carlson SurvCE, robotic total stations, and Trimble GPS equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a two- to three-person survey crew assisting with a variety of land surveying activities.
• Assist with boundary, topographic, construction staking, and other field surveys.
• Operate and assist with survey equipment including robotic total stations, GPS equipment, and data collectors.
• Carry supplies, hold equipment, drive stakes, and assist with clearing survey lines as needed.
• Record field measurements and assist in maintaining accurate survey documentation.
• Maintain and transport survey equipment safely to and from job sites.
• Coordinate with the survey crew and project teams to complete assignments efficiently and accurately.
