Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking an Instrument & Electrical Field Engineer to support instrumentation, automation, electrical systems, and process control equipment at a chemical manufacturing facility in Casa Grande, AZ.

This hands-on role focuses on instrumentation, sensors, automation, and process control systems, collaborating with engineering teams, vendors, contractors, technicians, and plant operations to install, troubleshoot, test, commission, and maintain equipment and drive continuous

Qualifications

2 years minimum experience in instrumentation, electrical, controls, or automation engineering within a chemical manufacturing, petrochemical, refinery, semiconductor, or similar process manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience with industrial instrumentation and sensors, including flow, pressure, temperature, level, pH, or conductivity.
Experience reviewing engineering drawings, P&IDs, instrument specifications, and vendor documentation.
Experience supporting PLC or DCS environments and automation/process control systems.

Responsibilities

Review instrument specifications, P&IDs, and control system docs to ensure designs meet requirements.
Support installation, commissioning, and startup of instrumentation and automation equipment.
Perform field inspections, loop checks, and calibration to verify installations meet specs.
Troubleshoot instrumentation and control equipment and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
Develop preventive maintenance and reliability activities for instrumentation and electrical equipment.
