Job summary

Big D Metalworks seeks a Field Coordinator who bridges the jobsite, shop, and office. You will measure and scan sites, lay out installations, and coordinate with GC's and trades. You will train crews in Big D methods, manage field paperwork, and keep procurement moving to protect schedules and costs.

Based in the Dallas area with 25–50% national travel, you ensure safety compliance, site readiness, and effective communication among teams. Experience with stairs/rails and Procore is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Field measurements and layout drive shop fabrication.
• Experience with Faro or willingness to be trained.
• Familiarity with Procore or similar PM platforms.
• Proficient in Excel and MS Office for POs and reports.
• Ability to read architectural/structural drawings.
• Strong stair/rail installation and rigging knowledge.
• Experience leading crews and training others.
• OSHA 30 preferred; OSHA 10 minimum.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Able to manage multiple sites and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Field measure and scan jobsites; deliver accurate dimensions.
• Walk sites pre-install to confirm conditions and readiness.
• Lay out stair/rail on site from control lines.
• Generate installation plans and crew sizing guidance.
• Determine jobsite needs and pre-order equipment.
• Coordinate with GC superintendents and trades on schedule.
• Troubleshoot field issues with project team to protect schedule.
• Develop and train installation crews to Big D standards.
• Create POs and update SOVs for progress billing.
• Maintain field docs in Procore and project platforms.
