Job summary
ITW Food Equipment Group LLC is seeking an Installation Technician II to lead and support the installation, assembly, inspection, and basic maintenance of commercial food equipment nationwide from the New Orleans region. This role involves uncrating, moving, and positioning equipment at customer sites and driving service vehicles with lift gates.
The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma, 3-4 years' related experience, and strong mechanical/electrical skills, with willingness to travel
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 3–4 years of experience in a related field.
- Ability to work safely with mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Basic knowledge of welding, hydraulics, and/or electrical systems.
- Basic understanding of mechanical troubleshooting.
- Basic plumbing and soldering knowledge.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Responsibilities
- Lead and/or support the installation, assembly, inspection, and basic maintenance of commercial food equipment.
- Uncrate, move, and position equipment safely at customer sites.
- Inspect equipment for proper operation and report issues.
- Drive service and delivery trucks using lift-gate systems.
- Assist Service Technicians and Branch staff with installation and service activities.
- Provide courteous service and address customer questions or concerns.
