Nextlink Internet is seeking a Field Installation Technician to perform on-site customer installations, service visits, and troubleshooting. The role emphasizes excellent customer service, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently at residential and business locations.
Responsibilities include surveying sites, diagnosing problems, installing service with Cat5e or fiber, configuring routers, and upgrading equipment as needed.
We are a Hudson Oaks, Texas-based Internet Service Provider (ISP) delivering High Speed Internet and Voice Services throughout multiple states to residential, business, K-12 Education and government customers. The Field Installation Technician requires excellent customer service skills and technical ability. The position requires completing customer installations, service visits, on-site troubleshooting, and recovery of equipment. Work is performed on site at customer locations both with a physical aspect of installing Internet equipment.
Working in outdoor elements such as cold, hot, precipitation and wind in proximity of heavy machinery and moving vehicles. Moderate noise level. Use of PPE.
40 hours minimum. Overtime as needed. On Call as needed.
Full-time.
