Job summary

Menlo is seeking an Installation Technician to join our Professional Services team, delivering hands-on on-site installations for K-12 districts and municipal customers. You will configure network gear, cabling, access control, and security systems, collaborating with project managers and customers to meet project requirements.

The role emphasizes practical installation work, testing, and documentation, with travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in IT installations, low-voltage systems, or related technical field preferred.
• Experience with door access control systems, security systems, or related technologies preferred.
• Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, BICSI, or manufacturer-specific certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test networking equipment including switches and wireless access points.
• Install and terminate low-voltage cabling (CAT6 and fiber).
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot door access control systems (card readers, door controllers, locks).
• Install and support security technology including IP cameras and related systems.
• Rack, mount, and cable IT equipment; perform equipment upgrades and refresh projects.
• Read floor plans and installation documentation; troubleshoot issues and document work.
