Job summary

TORQ Coatings is seeking an Installation Manager in Lombard, IL to lead field crews, own the install process, and deliver high-quality coatings projects on time.

This hands-on leadership role requires traveling to support new market launches and to manage installs across Chicagoland and beyond. You will master the floor coating process, train installers, and build a scalable team focused on craftsmanship and speed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in installation, production, or field leadership.
• Experience leading crews in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
• Strong background in coatings, flooring, concrete, or construction trades.
• Hands-on in the field daily.
• Ability to train and develop installers.
• Proficiency with numbers, spreadsheets, and KPIs.
• Understanding of job costing and labor efficiency.
• Attention to detail and pride in quality.
• Self-starter with ownership and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation crews and field execution.
• Set quality and efficiency standards on job sites.
• Master and enforce install process from prep to finish.
• Train and develop installers and crew leads.
• Ensure high-quality installs delivered on time.
• Manage daily production schedules and job flow.
• Oversee materials, equipment, and job-site readiness.
• Track labor efficiency, job profitability, and completion times.
• Coordinate with sales, operations, and field teams.
• Support hiring and onboarding of new installers.
• Travel as needed to launch new markets.
