Job summary

TrueNet Communications is seeking an Installation Technician to perform structured cabling and installation of voice, data, and wireless systems. The role includes maintenance, project engineering, and coordinating with customers for power cuts within maintenance windows.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 6+ years telecom experience, and strong problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in MS Office and ability to work independently or with a team is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational/Technical School desired.
• Minimum of 6 years telecommunications training and/or experience.
• Must have demonstrated proficiency at Technician III level.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Has technical proficiency in structured cabling, installation of voice/data systems, networks and wireless.
• Performs additions/removals/changes/upgrades to service contracts and maintenance tasks.
• Performs installations and maintenance of equipment; engineers new projects.
• Coordinates with customers for power cuts within maintenance windows and ensures accuracy of final paperwork.
• Interfaces with customers and vendors; provides technical support as needed.
• Attends project planning and progress meetings and ensures safety and quality standards.
